It's Me, Rik!
I named my business ‘Riks’ and yes, you can bet much thought went into that! But it has served
me well irrespective of what I’ve been involved with since, so why change the habit of a lifetime?

It's Me, Rik!
From what I recall, it seemed like such a
great idea to leave college and become my
own boss! I named my business ‘Riks’ and
yes, you can bet much thought went into
that! But it has served me well irrespective
of what I’ve been involved with since, so
why change the habit of a lifetime?
Even before those formative years I had a
passion for the outdoors. Our main family
sporting interest, alongside cycling, was
windsurfing - rather odd given we grew up
in land-locked Cambridge! But located
just beyond the city limits was an idyllic
lakeside club - a place I went on to
develop into what became an
internationally acclaimed retail business.
Although windsurfing brought me to Rutland,
I now spend my time here mostly off the
water. My two active children have become,
amongst many things, enthusiastic cricketers,
both with much ambition and potential.
I’ve enjoyed many amazing and memorable
experiences since those early days at the
lake forging lifelong friendships along the
journey. And now with more than twenty-five
years commercial experience (and much less
hair), I’ve found myself providing a broad
range of mainly marketing-oriented services

Above all else, my ethos is to be fun to work
with. I am a good listener, always aiming to

solutions by taking a practical approach.
Paying particular attention to the details
others overlook is one of my strengths.
